Alex grew up here in Texas and played his youth hockey for the Lone Star Wolves. After moving to Michigan, Alex played hockey for Fenton High School and then had the opportunity to play junior hockey for Kenai River in the NAHL. Deciding college was the right path, he returned home to and graduated from Western Michigan.
Alex joined the US Navy in 2010 and began coaching behind the bench in the fall of 2017 as an assistant coach for the Jr. Brahmas 16UAA team.
Alex current role is Head Coach for the Grapevine Colleyville High School Varsity team.
