BACKGROUND
Steve grew up in northern New Jersey’s hockey hotbed, playing with the New Jersey Devils Youth Hockey Club. In 1998, he won a New Jersey High School State Championship with Seton Hall Prep. The following year, his Midget AAA American Eagles team earned bronze at the U.S. National Tier 1 Tournament under head coach Mike Haviland, a Stanley Cup Champion and former Chicago Blackhawks Assistant Coach.
Recruited by several junior programs across the Midwest and offered collegiate scholarships from New England schools, Steve chose Villanova University (ACHA Division 1). There, he was named captain his senior year and led the team in scoring in both the 2001–02 and 2002–03 seasons.
Beyond his playing career, Steve is a certified personal trainer through the Ignite360 program, a performance system developed at IMG Academy to deliver customizable training plans and measurable progress. Utilizing this training platform led Steve to be the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Lone Star Brahmas (NAHL) team for 6 seasons.
With more than 15 years of coaching experience, Steve has worked with players from squirt to junior levels across three states: the New Jersey Colonials (NJ), the Falcons Hockey Association (IL), and the Nashville Jr. Predators (TN).
