Garrett Culps is a born and bred Texan. Growing up in North Richland Hills, Garrett played his youth, travel and high school hockey right here in north Texas.
In 2011 his high school team, Birdville Hockey Club won the City Championship, where he led the team in scoring as an 8th grader.
In 2015, Garrett played junior hockey for 2 seasons with the Jr. Brahmas NA3HL team. Over that time period, he helped his team get to the Silver Cup playoffs, won a South Division title, received the Best Defensive Forward Award, and was named Alternate Captain in his final year.
Garrett went on to attend Aurora University where he played for both the NCAA Div 3 and ACHA team in his rookie season, all while studying Exercise Science and Kinesiology. He now resides back in Texas continuing his degree, putting what he learns into immediate practice while training and working with TST.
Garrett currently coaches high school hockey for Northwest Hockey Club - Assistant Coach Varsity Silver.
