Nik grew up in San Angelo, Texas and played competitive hockey for 16 years for teams throughout the Dallas Metroplex. In 2015 he moved to Fort Worth to play for the Texas Jr. Brahmas NA3HL team where he spent 3 seasons (2015-2017).
After his Junior career, Nik transitioned to coaching. He spent 2 seasons coaching with the Jr. Brahmas where his U12AA team won the Dallas Stars Travel Hockey League in 2017.
Currently Nik coaches high school hockey for Northwest Hockey Club - Head Coach JV Gold
He moonlights as an electrician during the day and lives in Fort Worth with his wife, Kaylee.
